About CFC-FFL

Our Family Ministriess

CFC-FFL COMMUNITY PRAYER 2017

Heavenly Father, you are the Creator and we are all your children. Make us truly one. Protect us from the division in families, in communities, in the Church and in the world.

Lord Jesus Christ, you are the Savior who died for us and saved us. Now as your disciples, you send us forth to proclaim the good news of salvation in you throughout the world. May we be worthy witnesses. Show us the way to self-denial, embrace of the cross, and following you. Raise among us true servant leaders who have a passion for souls.

Holy Spirit, you are the agent of evangelization who sends us to engage in spiritual warfare. Equip us with the armor of God and weapons of righteousness. Help us to preserve unity in the Spirit through the bond of peace. May we stand together as your holy warriors.

Triune God, you are three Persons in one God. In you we have one baptism, one faith, one hope. We are one body. Help us to truly become united in mind and heart, in vision and mission, to be one with the Father through the Son and in the Spirit.

Mama Mary, you are our beloved Mother. We are your offspring who strive to keep God's commands, bear witness to Jesus, and wage war in the Spirit against the enemy. Cover us with your mantle of protection, keeping us in your loving embrace always.

Amen.

Serving the Poorest of the Poor

OUR THEME FOR 2017 (Part 6)

WORKS OF THE FLESH

We as the people of God live by the Spirit and not by the flesh. “Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified their flesh with its passions and desires.” (v.24). We are to avoid the works of the flesh. “Now the works of the flesh are obvious: immorality, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, rivalry, jealousy, outbursts of fury, acts of selfishness, dissensions, factions, occasions of envy, drinking bouts, orgies, and the like.” (v.19-21a).

UN BUREAUCRAT TO IMPOSE LGBT

December 12, 2016 (C-Fam) – With his job still on the line, the newly appointed UN independent expert for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) rights laid out a provocative agenda for his 3-year term a couple weeks ago. “This mandate will cover every country under the sun and under the moon,” Thai Professor Vitit Muntarbhorn is reported to have said, further antagonizing countries that have already promised not to cooperate with him.

CFC-Singles for Family and Life

What is CFC Singles for Family and Life (CFC-SFL)?

CFC-SFL is a ministry of Couples for Christ Foundation for Family and Life (CFC-FFL) that focuses on the evangelization of single men and women aged 21-40 years old.

CFC-SFL provides an environment to help these single men and women to live a full and meaningful life with Christ at the center of it.

CFC-SFL is a Catholic Ministry where single men and women can experience Jesus Christ, know their state of life, be effective and efficient in their workplace, be a strong witness of God's love and faithfulness in their family, peers, and community, where everyone can experience true brotherhood and sisterhood having God at the center of it.

What is the CFC-SFL entry point?

The Singles candidate attends a 9-week Christian Life Seminar (CLS) after which they receive support through regular Household (cell group) Meetings, Prayer Assemblies and fellowship with other brothers and sisters.

Three months later, the candidate will go through the Covenant Recollection for an even deeper growth in their relationship with God and for a better understanding of their commitment to God as a community. At this point, the Singles candidate will decide whether he or she desires to enter into this covenant to be a community member of CFC-SFL.

What is the relationship between CFC-SFL and CFC-FFL?

As a part of the larger family of CFC-FFL, CFC-SFL shares it's vision, mission and core values.

CFC-FFL Vision:

We are an evangelistic and missionary community, committed to become families empowered by the Holy Spirit to renew the face of the earth.

CFC-FFL Mission:

We strive for holiness of life, as we commit to renew the temporal order through our work with the poor, our work for justice, and our work for life.

  • Evangelistic and Missionary
  • Focused on Family
  • Being a Community
  • Living a preferential option for the poor
  • Exercising Servant Leadership
  • Being a Servant to the Church

What is CFC-SFL's purpose?

CFC-SFL exists to provide an environment for single men and women to:

  • Honor God through Holiness of Life (WORSHIP)
  • Empower Men and Women to Witness God's Love and Faithfulness (DISCIPLESHIP)
  • Act out God-given Skills and Talents in the service of others (MINISTRY)
  • Relate with Excellence in all Areas of Life through Meaningful Fellowship (FELLOWSHIP)
  • Testify God's Love by Allowing them to be used as His instruments (EVANGELISM)

What is the Life and Culture of CFC-SFL?

Worship

We nurture our personal relationship with the Lord through personal prayer time and charismatic worship as a community.

Discipleship

We are all called to discipleship in accordance to how God calls each one uniquely. In SFL, opportunities for service are provided such as giving talks, leading a household, serving in the parish, ministering in the prisons, teaching catechism to children as well as other ways to lead to the restoration of life as a whole.

Ministry

Our spiritual formation is continuous through our regular teachings and activities about God's promises and plan, Scripture as well as our veneration to our Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor.

We also have an annual World Singles Congress wherein SFL members from all over the world gather in one place and be nourished by God's message to the community for the year.

Evangelism

We are witnesses of God's love and faithfulness by the way we live our lives. We hope that others will come to know God's saving power and, through our example, be led to know and love Him more.

As an evangelistic community, we also go on mission trips to spread God's message of love and hope to other places within and outside of the country.

Fellowship

We relate with each other in brotherhood and sisterhood. After the CLS, the Singles are divided into household (cell) groups composed of 5-7 members each. This household meets at least twice a month in prayer, personal sharing and sometimes just having fun together.
