Our Family Ministriess

CFC-FFL COMMUNITY PRAYER 2019

Almighty Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, may you be glorified as we and our households serve you.

Lord Jesus, you who are not ashamed to call us brothers, help us to do the will of our heavenly Father, so that we would be deserving to be your true family. Keep us secure along the paths of holiness and discipleship, and to be always obedient to you as our Master.

Holy Spirit, you who are the love that binds Father and Son together, empower us to know the love of Christ and be filled with all the fullness of God. Strengthen us as we endure the challenges of the authentic Christian life, and help us to be perfect through suffering.

Triune God, keep us, our households and our community steadfast in our resolve to serve you. Send us forth to be families on mission. Use us in order to witness to your love and to establish your dominion over the whole world.

Mama Mary, comfort us in our afflictions, cover us with your mantle of protection, and keep us in your loving embrace always.

Amen.

Bishop Tells Catholic Politicians Who Support Abortion to Repent and Become Pro-Life

INTERNATIONAL MICAIAH BILGER JAN 2, 2019 | 11:01AM DUBLIN, IRELAND

Pro-abortion politicians should repent for promoting the destruction of human life, Irish Catholic Bishop Kevin Doran said Tuesday. Ireland officially legalized abortion Jan. 1, a dark new era for the once strongly pro-life nation. New Year’s Day was a day of mourning for pro-life advocates, but also one of determination as they vowed to continue working to protect unborn babies.

CONSECRATION TO OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY

O Blessed Virgin Mary, you with your Son Jesus crushed the head of the serpent. In the spiritual war that continues to rage in the heavens and on earth, you have already won the victory. Your holy warriors stand before you, dear Mother Mary. We consecrate ourselves to the cause of your Son Jesus, the Redeemer of the world, and to you as his Co-Redemptrix. We dedicate ourselves to the task of winning souls for the Kingdom. We commit to do battle against all evil forces. Cover us with your mantle of protection as you send us forth under your banner. Amen.

Patrick Brown pressured MPPs to vote for radical pro-LGBTQ bill or stay away: Campaign Life

TORONTO, November 29, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) - Ontario Progressive Conservative leader Patrick Brown pressured his MPPs to either vote for the radical pro-LGBTQ Bill 28 or absent themselves, sources within the party have told Campaign Life Coalition. The controversial bill, which legally redefines the family - including substituting "mother" and "father" for parent - to accommodate homosexual activists, was passed unanimously at Queen's Park Tuesday by 79 MPPs from all parties.

"Our sources in the Progressive Conservative Party told us that Patrick Brown pressured his caucus to either vote for the bill or to stay away," Campaign Life vice president Jeff Gunnarson told LifeSiteNews.

"So much for the Conservative tradition of allowing free votes on issues of conscience," Gunnarson said.

"This just goes to show that the PC Party under Brown has no tolerance for different views and is not nearly as inclusive as he claims it is," he said.

"Plus, Brown has shown that he is a dictator in the style of Liberal Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who infamously banned pro-life candidates from running for the Liberal Party."

Twenty-eight MPPs were absent for the vote, including both Liberal Premier Kathleen Wynne, and NDP leader Andrea Horwath.

In fact, Tory leader Brown was the only party leader present for the vote.

PC MPPs Monte McNaughton and Rick Nicholls, both green-lighted by CLC as supportable as pro-life and pro-family, were not present.

Liberal MPPs Mario Sergio and Joe Dickson, green-lighted as pro-life by Campaign Life Coalition, were also notably absent for the vote.

But voting for Bill 28 was Liberal MPP and Catholic Lou Rinaldi, who has been green-lighted as supportable by Campaign Life Coalition.

Newly elected PC MPP Sam Oosterhoff, known for his social conservative views, had not yet been sworn in after his surprise November 19 victory.

PC MPP Mike Harris had proposed an amendment November 1 that Bill 28 allow "mother" and "father" as well as "parent," in state-registered documents, but that amendment was voted down.

Harris was not present for the final vote.

Gunnarson slammed Premier Kathleen Wynne's Liberal government for "ramming through another controversial bit of social engineering with Bill 28."

"This bill is another example of Wynne's attempts to radically alter the definition of family and sexual morality," he said, noting that "Bill 28 will normalize a variety of relationships without any regard for the well-being of the children."

Other pro-family groups have criticized the Liberal government for pushing through the controversial "All Families Are Equal Act" with unseemly haste.

Bill 28 "completely turns on its head the former understanding of 'family' which consisted of individuals united by marriage, blood and adoption," echoed Gwen Landolt of REAL Women in an October 16 critique.

The All Families Are Equal Act legally redefines "mother" and "father" as "parent" to accommodate homosexuals who conceive children through reproductive means.

Parents As First Educators (PAFE) as well as CLC and REAL Women have been urging people to protest the legislation, which critics say will have far-reaching consequences.

"It gets rid of 'mother' and 'father' in family law - mum entirely - to allow for a purely contractual relationship between up to four adult parents, and the children that are legally identified as theirs," noted Dr. Scott Masson in an analysis of the bill.

He warned the bill is a threat to family and parental rights.

"According to this Bill 28, this new legal 'family' can only exist if the traditional, natural family unit is destroyed," Masson pointed out.

"In the process, it also makes it far easier for the government to seize our children because henceforth we too will only have a contractual - not a natural - bond to our children. As we know, contractual relationships are easy to change."

WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE DO

Through all of our 29 years, we have spoken much of our vision and mission, who we are, what we are called to do. We know that we are an evangelistic and missionary community. This has been true from the very beginning and has never changed. We do our work within the context of family renewal. That is one distinct factor that distinguishes us from other renewal movements.

Books and Magazines

The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life. The Eucharist is the greatest gift God gives to His people. The Eucharist is our path to holiness and Christian perfection. The Eucharist is crucial to our work of the New Evangelization. We must have greater understanding and appreciation of the Eucharist, so that we can go forth and truly be effective witnesses to salvation in Jesus.

Servant leadership is crucial to our work of building up community and of doing a massive work of evangelization. Unfortunately, many who are leaders in our Church today may not have the heart of a servant. But Jesus, our Lord and Master, came not to be served but to serve. He is our main model.
